I'll just come right out and say that I'm not very good at deadlines (I didn't have to put quotes around that because it wasn't a direct quote). I mean, I appreciate them. They're just there to help me plan out. The problem is, I'm a procrastinator (hey, that could be a cool movie in which the robot from the future puts off killing people until the last second......well, I'd watch it). Really, I put everything off until the last minute and then cram. Deadlines just mess up my life.
Sometimes I have to give myself my own mental deadline to get myself to do anything. Take last week, (really, go ahead and take it. I had no fun with it whatsoever. It's yours.) I was supposed to do a newspaper article and I knew that if I put it off it would be done terribly. I had to force myself to think that it was due the coming Friday instead of the following one. I'm not sure if I believed myself or not, but the article got done (I love happy endings).
Well, I gotta make like a hair on a sharp knife and split.

- I was born in North Dakota but moved to Nigeria when I was two. Lived there until I was 13, then was uprooted to move to the hostile land(US). Since then I have been forced to live in the land where everyone is white(at least where I was; it's a bit better now that I'm at SAU) and has an attitude. Freaky! Currently 20 and still cautious of these crazy Americans. I mean seriously! You take electricity away from these guys for like 5 minutes, and they think the apocalypse has come(I don't really know what that means, but it sounded good). So, that's me in a nutshell, and it's crammed in here. Oh well, at least I have a good book.
