New Braces Stuff
OW! Ya, I got some new braces stuff in my mouth the other day, and it really feels like my mouth is being pulled every which way. I got stuff to put my teeth in neat rows, I got stuff to crank my jaw into position, I got stuff that pulls my teeth together to eliminate gaps, and I got stuff that pulls my bottom and top rows into alignment. All in all (huh, now that I think about it, that's a weird saying. How can you fit all into another all? If you have one all that seems like it should be enough, doesn't it? And even if you had another spare all to put in it, how would it fit? This crazy English language.) my mouth feels like nothing by metal and rubber right now.
What really got me to start out with was that with the rubber bands holding my jaw together, I can't yawn properly! Do you know how annoying it is to not be able to yawn properly?!?(well, I suppose you do if you've ever worn braces before) Oh well, I should stop complaining. I don't know why, but I'm sure there's a reason.
Well, I gotta make like Sid from Ice Age when he caught that melon and bounce.

Monotony
Ya, I'm right at that point in the school year when things just seem to get so monotonous, Especially the part that I have to get up a six every morning. I need my sleep for the love of Bohemian mammoths! It also seems to be that point in the year when everyone at school is rather irritable, or that could just be me projecting. Whatever.
That being said, just the word monotony just makes me think of Green Acres and their weird twists on popular games(Monotony being a twist on Monopoly). And that just makes me think of the Green Arrow and the Green Lantern, which, unbeknownst to many, is a popular team-up in the DC universe, or should I say, "multiverse"? Huh, other fans will get that. Anyway, I honestly just felt like I should blog something just because I haven't blogged in a while. Consider this a space-filler.
Well, I gotta make like Paul Bunyan and head for the hills with my blue ox.

Deadlines
I'll just come right out and say that I'm not very good at deadlines (I didn't have to put quotes around that because it wasn't a direct quote). I mean, I appreciate them. They're just there to help me plan out. The problem is, I'm a procrastinator (hey, that could be a cool movie in which the robot from the future puts off killing people until the last second......well, I'd watch it). Really, I put everything off until the last minute and then cram. Deadlines just mess up my life.
Sometimes I have to give myself my own mental deadline to get myself to do anything. Take last week, (really, go ahead and take it. I had no fun with it whatsoever. It's yours.) I was supposed to do a newspaper article and I knew that if I put it off it would be done terribly. I had to force myself to think that it was due the coming Friday instead of the following one. I'm not sure if I believed myself or not, but the article got done (I love happy endings).

Glass Work
So we're having mini classes this week and I got signed up for glass work. It's kinda fun. Basically, you just scratch out the shape you want the glass to look and then just break it out. Then you grind it to perfection, wrap the edges in copper, and sodder it all together. Mine kinda looks crummy and I can feel the fumes killing brain cells even as i progress through the murky, uncharted waters(at least for me) of glass work. I've barely even touched the realm of stained glass yet. I'm rather daunted, and I don't daunt easy.
Well, I gotta make like coconut on Skipper's head and bounce.

Back at School
Well, I just had an awesome Christmas break with my family and my girlfriend home. I even got to see some old friends from Nigeria. However, now that I'm back to routine, things are going downhill a bit. My mouth is sore from an orthodontist appointment yesterday, I'm really wasted from getting up at six the past few days for driver's ed.(good stuff though), and it's just before the end of the quarter, meaning I've got work to make up. Oh well, I probably just have to get back into the swing of things. Sorry to those of you who were looking for something funny, I'm just really not feeling it right now. If you want funny, go watch some old whose line is it anyway? or maybe just some Ask a ninja. Have fun with that.
